Airport Travel Tips: Reducing Waiting Times
Key Travel Tips Following these tips will help you reduce your wait time at the security checkpoint. Before you go to the Airport ? Do not pack or bring Prohibited Items to the airport. ? Place valuables such as jewelry, cash and laptop computers in carry-on baggage only. ? Tape your business card to the bottom of your laptop. ? Avoid wearing clothing, jewelry and accessories that contain metal. Metal items may set off the alarm on the metal detector. ? Avoid wearing shoes that contain metal or have thick soles or heels. Many types of footwear will require additional screening even if the metal detector does not alarm. ? Put all undeveloped film and cameras with film in your carry-on baggage. Checked baggage screening equipment will damage undeveloped film. ? Declare firearms & ammunition to your airline and place them in your checked baggage. ? If you wish to lock your baggage, use a TSA-recognized lock. ? Do not bring lighters or prohibited matches to the airport. ? Do not pack wrapped gifts and do not bring wrapped gifts to the checkpoint. Wrap on arrival or ship your gifts prior to your departure. TSA may have to unwrap packages for security reasons. While at the Airport Each adult traveler needs to keep available his/her airline boarding pass and government-issued photo ID until exiting the security checkpoint. Due to different airport configurations, at many airports you will be required to display these documents more than once. ? Place the following items IN your carry-on baggage or in a plastic bag prior to entering the screening checkpoint: o Mobile phones o Keys o Loose change o Money clips o PDA's (personal data assistants) o Large amounts of jewelry o Metal hair decorations o Large belt buckles ? Take your laptop and video cameras with cassettes OUT of their cases and place them in a bin provided at the checkpoint. ? Take OFF all outer coats, suit coats, jackets and blazers. Tactile Strip Sensors on Leading Edge of Material Memory Airfoils Aircraft designers have always tried to figure out the best compromise for the aircraft they build, trying to get maximum performance at both high and low airspeeds. Now with material memory components they will be able to do this. The camber of the leading edge can change to a nice fat round area for slow speeds when Short Take Off and Landing STOL is needed and back to a thin leading edge for the lowest coefficients of drag and optimal cruising speed once airborne. But how will the aircraft know when to do this on its own. After all if the wing has material memory based on a heat, then it might be hotter at lower altitudes and then less ambient temperature (2 degrees per thousand feet) at higher altitudes. Yet when moving much faster the friction will heat up the wing also or you could be flying in an area with temperature inversion like Los Angeles basin where the smog is kept in the valley. I propose having every fifth, twentieth or hundredth UAV flown tele-robotically sending information to the satellite. All other UAVs will be controlled thru that data and by satellite in grid formations every half to three miles. All data will be collected by the larger control UAV which is tele-robotically flown. This queen bee, or swarm commander will interpret data and send in relevant data to the command and control tele-robotic augments simulator pilot. Each drone UAV will fly its line on the grid using an offset AFF. American Airlines; Crash: Nov. 12, 2001 It seems there were not many comments to the AA crash of November 2001, as soon as it was ruled an accident instead of an attack the media stopped the reports and the story disappeared. Generally the airport was there before us however. In some cases the little airplanes turned into full-blown airliners. Reducing airport noise can be achieved by using sound waves towards the noise area.
